Children's Storytelling

9.00am – 10.00am

Little Otter's mom sends him across the lake for the first time to get food for his family but on the way, he discovers that there is a THING in the pond. He's terrified and the advice from the other animals is just making things worse. Will he make it to the other side and back home again?

After the thrilling tales of Little Otter, you can look forward to a fun and interesting craft section! Learn how to make desk tidy organizer out of recyclable materials and display your artistic skills!

Winnie the Fish (Narrative for Children)

11.30am – 12.15am

Winnie the Fish calls the Jurong Lake Gardens her home and spends most of her time swimming and playing with all her friends here. She loves the pristine water and relies on it to survive.
But something is happening to the water..

The River Monster is here and the clean water is polluted! Winnie is trying her best to defeat the monster but soon after, she finds herself battling another monster - The Landfill Troll.

What will Winnie do to save her friends and the water they call home?

Come join Winnie the Fish for an adventure and defeat the River Monster and Landfill Troll together!

This programme is brought to you through a collaboration with Waterways Watch Society.

Understanding Plant Nutrition in Edible Plants

How do you tell that a plant is lacking in a certain nutrient? What are the factors that affect the uptake of nutrients? Can you overfeed a plant? Get answers to these questions and more by attending this virtual talk by Wilson Wong.

Have issues growing plants in your garden? Join us in this virtual meeting to get them answered by our in-house horticulturist, Dr Wilson Wong. This session will be run monthly during Bazaar in the Garden.

Bonsai Appreciation

Bonsai is an Asian art form that has been practised by East Asian civilisations since the 6th century. Originating from China, the art of bonsai has developed into a myriad of different types and styles. Learn more about the different type of bonsais and how to appreciate them!

I am a Responsible Pet Owner!

10.00am – 11.00am

Are you ready to own a pet? Learn more about how to provide basic care and understanding various behaviours of pet animals. You will get to understand the importance of adopting a pet and what you can do to become a responsible pet owner!

In this edition, we will be introducing participants to rabbits. Being one of the most popular types of pets for first time pet owners, there is much to learn about these adorable 'fur-iends'. Participants will have an engaging session to learn about rabbits and meet our pet ambassador, Kristoff the rabbit.
